Presentation<\/strong><\/p>\n As part of the initiative\u00a0AN ETHICAL COMPANY<\/strong>, ABES launched its\u00a0Integrity Program<\/a><\/strong>, in 2018, which provides for several actions. Based on a survey carried out by the entity with its associates, to assess the degree of maturity in relation to the integrity and\u00a0compliance<\/em>, ABES decided to also launch the program\u00a0AN ETHICAL COMPANY<\/strong>, which aims to encourage its associates to formally adopt the highest ethical standards in dealing with their affairs, whether internal or external; improve the standard of behavior in dealing with customers, suppliers, competitors, employees and government agents; and create formal norms to implement them.<\/p>\n AN ETHICAL COMPANY\u00a0<\/strong>is a service that aims to improve the ethical and moral standards of member companies, encouraging them to implement an Integrity Program, which in addition to raising the company's ethical standards, allows mitigating the penalties of the Anti-Corruption Law (Law 12,846\/2013). In a first phase, the associates, in addition to relying on the support of the\u00a0Compliance Officer<\/em>\u00a0and the Legal Department of the entity to develop their programs, will have at their disposal a\u00a0Reporting Channel<\/strong>,\u00a0independent<\/strong>, as provided for in Decree no. 8,420\/2015.<\/p>\n This one\u00a0Reporting Channel,\u00a0<\/strong>whose basic use is free for all members who join the program,\u00a0<\/strong>is found in\u00a0www.UmaEmpresaEtica.com.br<\/a>. The service allows anyone to register a complaint, anonymously or not, about events or events that do not comply with the ethical and moral standards established in the company's norms or the laws of the country. The Channel covers several aspects, from topics related to unfair competition and corruption, fraud, accounting and administrative improprieties, to moral and sexual harassment.<\/p>\n All complaints received are encrypted at source and sent directly to the interested companies, without going through ABES.<\/p>\n The association does not have access to the content of the complaints, nor is it responsible for the investigation, providing a mere communication channel between the whistleblower and the Company.
