Remote collaboration, which was considered a trend for the following years and observed as a common practice only in multinationals, has become a necessity for the whole world – from children to college students and mainly companies of any segment and size. Suddenly, each one had to learn to collaborate remotely with those who until then sat next to them every day.

With all this acceleration, remote work has shown that it is here to stay as a permanent post-pandemic change. That's what 78% of global CEOs surveyed in 2021 by PwC, one of four big consulting world. Smaller companies have followed the same path and explored this potential, mainly due to the wide range of communication applications, many of them free or included in collaboration platforms.

With the advancement of remote collaboration, accompanied by the boom in generating year-to-year data, one of the critical points has been precisely the need for teams to work with updated information as it happens. This means that the Business Intelligence Traditional (BI), as we know it, is no longer enough, as it only allows a historical analysis of the data for decision making.

Thus, teams that collaborate remotely can benefit from the so-called Active Intelligence, a state in which technologies and processes enable decision-making at the speed of data, that is, as events happen. In a world that changes every second, taking advantage of this moment can make a difference in business.

For the Active Intelligence approach, it is important to mention the three generations of BI: the first – and precursor – called centralized, normally dependent on IT and based on printed reports; the second called decentralized, since the 1990s brought tools and solutions that gave users more autonomy; and the third called democratized, which allows the user to create their own analyzes through a governed “data menu”, with the help of associative engines and AI.

And this evolution doesn't stop – data-informed decision making is essential and must reflect the now. Both internal and external information to the organization must be considered when establishing a data pipeline, which is nothing more than a fast way through which data is released from its silos, identified, cataloged and made available in real time for analysis and decision making, which can even be automated through business rules.

offer a self-service governed by data – this menu where the user has access to all the data that the company allows him – is to ensure that there is information security, another critical point for remote work. After all, a huge amount of data comes from different sources and needs to be organized so that the employee can access and take informed actions with agility.

With the power of Active Intelligence, teams in remote collaboration can work more assertively, with updated data in real time and safely throughout the process. It is a critical factor for the success of companies, which can achieve improved operational efficiency and revenue growth, among many other benefits, optimizing each business moment with informed actions.

*Cesar Ripari is Pre-Sales Director for Latin America at Qlik, a multinational reference in data integration and analysis

Notice: The opinion presented in this article is the responsibility of its author and not of ABES - Brazilian Association of Software Companies

[8,19
2945,2946,2884
post-46195","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-artigos","category-ultimas-noticias","tag-colaboracao-remota","tag-geracoes-de-bi","tag-inteligencia-ativa
"publishpress_future_workflow_manual_trigger":
["GET
