We understand that it is not appropriate to modify Article 5 of the Civil Rights Framework for the Internet (Law 12,956\/14) to include the expression \u201cartificial intelligence\u201d within the definition of \u201cdigital platforms for third-party content\u201d. Artificial intelligence systems \u2013 which today are already present in financial, health, transport, education, agriculture and many other services \u2013 are not and cannot be characterized as \u201cdigital platforms for third-party content\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In the end, the entities suggest that \u201cthe aforementioned Opinion removes the mention of artificial intelligence from the text\u201d, and reinforce \u201cthe invitation for all interested parties to participate in the debates around AI, both in the EBIA governance committee and in the National Congress , to further broaden the views on the specificities to be addressed and to ensure that we have a unified vision as a country and that this vision can drive innovation and sustainable development in Brazil\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To download the open letter, click <a href=\"https:\/\/dev.abes.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/20230817-ABRIA-ABES-Carta-aberta-sobre-o-parecer-2379-19-.pdf\">on here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ABES, ABRIA \u2013 Brazilian Association of Artificial Intelligence and I2A2 \u2013 Institut d&#039;Intelligence Artificielle Appliqu\u00e9e released an open letter on Friday (18\/08) regarding the mention of artificial intelligence in the substitute for BILL N. 2,370 \/19.
