Representatives from the 17 sectors (ABT, ABERT, ABES, Abit, Abimaq, Abical\u00e7ados, ABOL, ABPA, Abratel, ANJ, Assespro Federation, Brasscom, CBIC, CICB, FABUS, Feninfra, Fenainfo, IGEOC, NTC& Log\u00edstica, NTU and Sindit\u00eaxtil) that formally employ more than 9 million workers in Brazil, meet today (12), at 6pm with federal deputy Any Ortiz (Cidadania-RS), rapporteur of PL 493\/24. The objective is to deliver a new letter in favor of Payroll Exemption, reinforcing the importance of dialogue and consideration of sectoral perspectives.<\/p>\n
In retrospect, the extension of the payroll tax relief has already gone through a complete legislative process in the National Congress in 2023, through PL 334\/23, which ensured the maintenance of the payroll replacement taxation system, provided for in Law No. 12,546, until 2027. , on December 14, 2011. During the legislative debate, entities from the 17 sectors presented data that prove the social and economic importance of the Exemption policy, as well as its efficiency in generating employment and income for formal workers. According to the aforementioned data, between January 2019 and December 2023, the growth in formal jobs in companies with substitute taxation was almost 18%, while in other sectors, without substitute taxation, it was 13.5%.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, in 2023, segments with substitute taxation produced 215 thousand new jobs, and the average salary was 41.8% higher compared to companies in sectors without substitute taxation. Parliamentarians, sensitive to the need to protect the jobs and income of those who need it most, approved the exemption after votes in both legislative Houses.<\/p>\n
In conclusion, there was hard work already carried out in 2023 by the National Congress, which approved the extension of the payroll tax exemption until December 31, 2027. This work needs to be preserved to defend the powers of the Legislative Branch and the worker's income and employment .<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n
